Have
you ever told a half lie? Half lies show what seems as the harmless ways that we change the truth. You dont actually tell
a lie, and nor do you tell the full truth. This is what happens in the movie Simone when a director fools the media into thinking
he has the perfect actor.
The
movie Simone is about a film maker with artistic honesty who replaces those high maintenance pretty supermodel actresses
with a perfectly gifted and beautiful actress in his latest movie. This actress needs nothing. She does her own stunts, her
own make up, and wardrobe. But this perfect actress is computer generated. And no body knows that. This computer generated
actress is called Simulation One, or Simone. His movie makes people crazy. He by accident proves a point by showing that fake
is more believable than the real stuff in our current life of artificial, plastic, crap stars, but he cant bring himself to
show his secret. The myth quickly grows into a huge mess and he can no longer control her and her brain washing tactics, despite
the fact that he controls every single one of her pixels and all of her motions.
There are a million obvious plot mistakes in the movie Simone, but that does not matter because this movie is just a fairytale. Simone the
actress, or simulation, or victor or whatever she is, it doesnt matter too much that Simone the movie is believable or not.
There are points made that, even though
they are filled with simplicity, are interesting. The most misjudge value a movie can have is not the beautiful actors, funky
direction, effects, sound, music or even dialogue. It is the idea. With great potential, it really sucked that Simone the movie is like Simone the actress,
stuck in a computer screen. Simone
just didnt have the stuff to be a great movie through my eyes.
